<p>Apple announced a new design in connection ports on a future Macbook models.  There is gonna be a single (USB-C type) connector that is gonna be used for charging, data transfer and video out, instead of the previous model where different ports was used for the different applications.</p>

<p>With this design, Apple release appropriate accessories that need to be bayed additionally from the Apple Store.</p>
<p>From one point of view, this design is very simple and elegant, but if you think a scenarios that you need to charge the laptop and in the same time transfer data from you usb drive or vice versa, or you need video out, you will come to a problem.</p>

<p>Intel TXT was first developed for servers (Xeon processors), but now is implemented in nearly all new series processors.</p>
<p>From our point of view, that mean that also the laptop processors will have this technology. the trick is that this technology is released recently and is supported only by Windows 8 and 8.1. Thie Windows 7 don&#8217;t support it by default. There is a small windows Update for Windows 7 that you need to install before you install Intel TXT driver.</p>

<p>Windows 8 operating system is announces as operating system primarily intended to be worked with touch screen display. So, here we  ask some questions?</p>

<div>After the appearance of the tablets,  Microsoft considered that they will occupy the market and that they will replace the laptops, so they start to develop the Windows 8 operating system, who is intended to be installed on this types of devices. But the predictions was not realized and the tablets didn&#8217;t take the expected scales. The manufacturers continue to make the traditional laptops until now&#8230;</div>
<div>Now they are facing with a big dilemma. To continue to produce the traditional laptops as the users want or to produce devices as Microsoft intend?</div>
<div>Some of the companies make a compromise and produce devices that are hybrids between laptops and tablets. In the next video, ASUS presents the three new devices that will work on Windows 8. Let see the video:</div>

<p>Also the ACER have announced something similar in a very creative commercial:</p>

<p>Probably this style will follow all the leader manufacturers until the touchscreen replace the mouse and keyboard completely.</p>
<p>The users from the begging will use this devices as the traditional notebooks, but will time will start to use the touchscreen and it will become the basic for the future computers.</p>
<p>From the user&#8217;s view Windows 8 came very early, but from the Microsoft&#8217;s point of view the released the software little late, because the Android took over the market for the smart phones and tablets. Unlike the previous generation (Sandy Bridge), who was based, on 32nm technology, here we have decrease of the transistor&#8217;s dimension. This is accomplished by using a Three-Gate MOSFET, also called &#8220;3D&#8221; MOSFET. Here we have a picture from a such MOSFET:</p>

<p>As we see from the picture, one transistor consist from one Gate, but three Sources and three Drains. Actually with this we have a three transistors with a common Gate. With this we achieve bigger packing density and can have more transistors on a smaller surface.</p>
<p>One other thing. With the transition from 32nm to 22nm, we can achieve higher frequencies for the same power dissipation.</p>
<p>Here we have a list from the Intel&#8217;s mobile processors. In the tables are given the specifications for all the processors.</p>

<p>As we see from the tables, the specifications of the processors are great. Also the power consumption is very low.</p>
