Is your Lenovo laptop slower than it used to be? Are you struggling with a slow and sluggish Lenovo laptop? It’s frustrating when your device isn’t working at the speed that it used to, but luckily there are several fixes available.

In this blog post, we will look into why your Lenovo laptop might be running so slowly and what solutions you can employ to get it humming along again.

We’ll also discuss ways you can resolve these problems quickly and easily!

Why is My Lenovo Laptop So Slow?

If you are facing this, you’re not alone. Many Lenovo laptop users have been reporting slowdowns and other performance issues. So, here are some of the possible causes of these problems and what you can do to fix them.

Check if your computer is up to date with the latest software updates

Regular software updates are important for any computer to keep it running optimally and securely. Updating your system regularly ensures that you have the latest security patches, bug fixes, and feature upgrades which can significantly improve performance. It’s also important to update any installed applications such as browsers or office suites to ensure that they are compatible with the operating system.

Having the latest version of the software is essential for users who rely on their computers often since new versions tend to be faster and more reliable than older ones. Taking these simple steps should ensure that your computer is up-to-date with the latest software updates.

Restart your computer and close any unnecessary programs

Restarting your computer is a powerful tool for optimizing its performance, especially if it has been running for an extended period of time. This is because the restart process refreshes all of your programs, releasing any potential clogs or other blockages that could be hampering its operations.

Additionally, closing down any unnecessary programs helps streamline the way your computer runs by removing any potential distractions or issues that may arise from applications running in the background.

Delete temporary/junk files from your system

Through regular maintenance, you can ensure that your system remains clutter-free and performs optimally. Deleting temporary files and junk mail is an important step in this process as they often take up a lot of space.

Not only that, but keeping your system free of unnecessary files removes potential security risks and prevents malicious malware from entering. Taking the time to clean up your system on a regular basis can help prevent performance lags, increase storage capacity, and ensure a safe user experience.

Don’t wait until it’s too late; practice preventive maintenance today!

Adjust your power settings to improve performance

To maximize the performance of your device, adjusting your power settings is essential. By managing your power plan, you can fine-tune your system to minimize the resources used for background tasks and other low-priority activities.

With this adjustment, you may find that your device conserves energy whilst still providing the level of performance you would expect. Allowing your computer or mobile device to work more efficiently will ensure a smoother user experience with faster response times from applications or programs.

Once setup is complete, you’ll be able to enjoy superior performance from whatever device you’re using.

Run a virus scan to check for malware or viruses

Keeping your computer safe from malicious software, like viruses and malware, is an incredibly important security measure. Running a virus scan on a regular basis is the best way to ensure that your device remains free from dangerous content.

Not only can viruses infiltrate your system and corrupt important files or personal data, but malware can be used to gain access to sensitive information. A proper virus scan will help protect you from any potential security threats so that you and your family remain safe online.

In order to run a virus scan, you don’t need to install anti-virus software, windows own security tool called Windows Defender is enough for that. Simple turn on the Virus & Threat Protection and you are good to go.

Virus and threat protection settings in Windows Defender

Taking these precautions is simple, and secure and will save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Upgrade your Hard disk to an SSD

If you want to achieve a significant increase in performance and speed, consider upgrading your hard disk to an SSD (Solid State Drive).

Unlike traditional physical storage devices, such as HDDs (Hard Disk Drives), SSDs are based on memory chips instead of spinning disks. This means that they have significantly faster read/write speeds along with reduced power consumption.

This upgrade is perfect for power users who are looking to increase the performance of their devices while reducing energy costs. Furthermore, they offer more reliable storage and can withstand shocks better than traditional HDDs. If you’re in the market for an upgrade, consider switching to an SSD for a noticeable boost in speed and reliability.

If all else fails, you may need to factory reset your computer

When troubleshooting your computer’s issues, you’ve exhausted all other options and are contemplating a factory reset. Though it may feel daunting, this can be a great way to reset your device and get back to working order from square one.

With a factory reset, all of the data saved on your computer is removed to return it back to its original state. However, remember to back up any important files or documents using an external hard drive before performing the procedure.

Rest assured that tech support teams can guide you through the steps so that you will soon be able to access your computer at its normal capacity once again.

Conclusion

Taking care of your Lenovo laptop is no easy task and it can seem overwhelming at times. But by following the steps outlined in this article, you can have peace of mind that your laptop is properly maintained and running smoothly.

Remember to always check for software updates so you have the latest and greatest program versions, delete unnecessary junk files to free up memory space, adjust power settings to be sure you’re getting the best performance, and run a virus scan to ensure there are no threats present.

With careful maintenance and regular upkeep, your laptop will be running in tip-top shape for many years to come!
The post Why is My Lenovo Laptop So Slow?

If you’re the proud owner of an MSI laptop, you might be wondering if all MSI laptop chargers are the same. After all, you want to make sure that you are using the right charger for your device.

You might have come across multiple models with various shapes and sizes. How do you know if they are compatible with your laptop? After all, it’s important to keep your laptop charged and ready to go, so you’ll want to make sure you have the right charger for the job.

In this post, we’ll be exploring whether or not all MSI chargers are truly compatible across their various product lines.

Are All MSI Laptop Chargers The Same?

Are all MSI laptops use the same charger? It’s an interesting question with a surprising answer that may surprise MSI laptop users, regardless of the make and model they own.

Many people assume that each laptop will have its own unique charger, but in reality, many models use the same type of charger.

The only thing you need to consider about the adapter is whether it matches your device input power ratings or not. We’ll explore that later on but first since a laptop charger is an AC adapter, you need to understand what is an adapter and what it does.

What is an AC Adapter?

An AC adapter (also known as, a power adapter, laptop charger, or power brick) is an electrical device used to convert alternating current (AC) electrical power from mains electricity into direct current (DC) power for a laptop or other device.

The converted DC voltage typically ranges from 15-20 volts and is used to charge the laptop’s battery or power the laptop itself.

The AC adapter may also include a variety of safety features such as surge protection, over-voltage protection, and thermal protection. The AC adapter can come with a variety of connectors to fit different laptops and comes in various styles that may be suitable for desktop or portable use.

Additionally, some AC adapters come with multiple USB ports which offer additional charging options for other devices.

Are all MSI laptop chargers the same?

MSI laptops are known for their quality and durability, but are all MSI laptop chargers the same?

MSI laptops are a popular choice among those looking for reliable performance and outstanding build quality. However, when it comes to laptop chargers specifically, not all models are created equal.

Some MSI laptop chargers have higher voltage ratings than their predecessors, which can affect how quickly they charge the laptop. Additionally, some of the latest variants come with improved efficiency over earlier models and provide better protection against overheating.

Therefore, it is necessary to understand what type of charger your MSI laptop requires in order to make sure you get the best performance out of your device.

Check the Power Rating of the Charger

There are different types of MSI laptop chargers, each with its own power rating

MSI laptop chargers come in a variety of power ratings to make it easier for consumers to find the right charger to meet their needs. With so many models on the market, it’s important to know how much power each model can handle so you can be sure you’re choosing a compatible product that won’t overwork your device.

MSI laptop chargers typically range from 90 watts up to 240 watts, with higher wattage models usually used with larger laptops or those with higher performance speeds.

Whichever type of charger is best suited for your machine, one thing is certain – an MSI laptop charger should always be purchased directly from an authorized reseller. This will give you peace of mind that the product you are buying is reliable and safe for use.

The best way to find the right charger for your MSI laptop is to match the device power ratings with the adapter

The power ratings for your MSI laptop are an essential factor when it comes to finding the right charger. It is important to make sure that the wattage of the device is in sync with the specifications of the adapter, as an improperly matched charger could potentially lead to irreparable damage to your system.

The best thing to do is to check the manufacturer’s website or user manual for a list of compatible chargers and their power ratings – that way you can be sure you’re getting a charger with power ratings that match your device’s needs. Doing so could save you from headaches and help keep your laptop in top shape!

MSI Laptop charger power rating – Source: MSI Official

Voltage and Current

When looking for an MSI laptop charger, it is important to consider both voltage and current.

Voltage represents the potential difference between two points, and current denotes the amount of electric charge passing through a conductor – in this case, your laptop’s power adapter. The voltage of your charger should match the voltage required by your particular model of MSI laptop; if it does not, it can cause damage to both the laptop and its components.

Voltage ratings vary from country to country. In some countries, it is 100-110V whereas in other countries it is rated as 220-240V. So keep an eye on the voltage rating too.

Some adapters are compatible with both kinds of voltages and they usually represent the ratings as 100-240V. If your adapter mentions that, you don’t need to worry about voltage ratings for different areas.

Current, on the other hand, dictates how much power is necessary for your laptop to function properly. If a charger has too low of amperage, it won’t be able to provide enough wattage to power your device; conversely, if it has too high an amperage rating, it might overwork or even damage the device.

But a slightly high current will not damage the laptop. For example, if the power rating for your laptop is 220V-6A and the charger you are using provides a DC output of 220V-8A. As long as the voltages are the same, there is nothing to worry about current.

However, you may need to pay attention that the current must not be lower than the required.

Therefore, when selecting an MSI laptop charger it is imperative that these two factors are considered – and that you choose one with the exact specifications needed for reliable use.

Features of MSI Laptop Chargers

Some common features of MSI laptop chargers include voltage compatibility, current in amperes, and polarity

MSI laptop chargers are designed to support a variety of laptops, which is why they must offer core elements that work for all. Firstly, MSI chargers feature voltage compatibility between 11–20 volts. Since this range covers most standard laptop models, the charger should be powerful enough to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Secondly, MSI chargers sport sufficient current (in amperes) for modern laptops, allowing for a consistent charge throughout the entirety of device use.

Lastly, the polarity in an MSI charger must match up with the corresponding device. While mistakes in this area can be damaging to laptops, MSI takes great care to ensure every model’s specs are compatible with their chargers from top to bottom.

Can you use any chargers for MSI laptops?

An MSI laptop requires an AC adapter to charge its battery. These adapters are custom-made for each model of laptop and in most cases, a charger made for another model of laptop will not work with an MSI device.

To make sure that your MSI laptop is properly charged and its battery lasts for a long time, it is important to use the correct charger. If you have lost the original adapter or need a new one, you can easily find compatible chargers on approved third-party websites or from the official MSI store.

Conclusion

In conclusion, MSI laptop chargers come in a variety of styles. Depending on your laptop’s power requirements and needs, there is a charger that can suit your laptop. You should take into account factors such as voltage compatibility, current, and polarity when deciding which charger to purchase.

Additionally, make sure to read reviews before making your decision so you’re sure you get the best one for your MSI laptop. Ultimately, consulting the user manual is the best way to find the right charger for your device. Investing in an appropriate MSI laptop charger will ensure that you get optimal battery performance from your laptop.

Cooling a fan on a laptop is very crucial as it helps you to maintain the internal temperature and prevent it from getting higher.

But sometimes, people are in misery whether their cooling fan is working or not. So worry not as in this article you will find out how to test a cooling fan on a dell laptop.

Let’s get started!

Test Cooling Fan on a Dell Laptop

There are multiple ways to test the cooling fan but I will tell you the top 3 that works like a charm and will tell if your cooling fan works or not.

1. Check Air Vents

The first way to check whether your cooling fan works or not is by checking the air vents on your laptop if you feel an air blow from the vents that is a clear sign that your cooling fan is working perfectly fine.

However, if you do not feel the air blowing you can place a paper at the vent outside it if it moves then your cooling fan is working.

Because sometimes the cooling fan is not working at its maximum speed so we do not feel the air blow that is why I recommended you place and piece of paper as it is a lightweight material and can easily be blown away by a tiny amount of air from the cooling vent.

2. Check for any sound/vibration

Sometimes the cooling fan is running at a very low speed that you cannot feel the air blow. In this situation put your hand on the cooling went and feel if there is any vibration going on inside your cooling vent.

If your laptop has a hard disk do not get confused with the vibration of that hard disk so make sure to put your hand right at the cooling went.

In this way, you will be able to hear any sound or vibration that is coming out from your cooling fan.

Related: Why Does My Laptop Sound Like a Jet Engine

3. Install Fan Testing Software

If the above two solutions did not work for you the last you can try is by installing a third-party fan testing software that will let you know if your fan is working or not there are several fan testing software such as speed fan.

All you have to do this just install any fan testing software and it will test your fan and let you know if your cooling fan is working or not.

Cooling Fan Still not Working? Try these

After following all the methods to test your cooling fan, if you are left disappointed and your fan is still not working, don’t worry you can still fix that.

Note: Only attempt this if you are familiar with laptop opening/repairing, as you have to open the laptop for this.

1. Clean the Fan

Sometimes, there might be some dust particles stuck inside your cooling fan which prevents your fan from running.

It can be either a piece of paper or cat or dog hairs that blocks the fan blades. So the first and foremost solution is to take out the fan and clean it.

You can clean it using pressurized air or cotton swaps.

Once cleaned, move the fan blades with your fingers and see if it is moving freely that means all hurdles have been cleared.

2. Check its wire

Laptop cooling fans are connected to the motherboard through a connector. Check if that connector is connected firmly.

Also, check for the wires on the motor of the fan, as you can see in the attached picture.

Make sure that all the wires are connected and intact with the terminals.

3. Install a new one

If after following all the testing methods, and fixes, your fan still doesn’t work, you should install a new cooling fan or take your laptop to a technician.

Conclusion

A laptop cooling fan is a component on which we cannot compromise at all, so always make sure that your cooling fan is running and the CPU temperature won’t get too high.

I hope that after following the methods mentioned in this article, you will be able to test your cooling fan on dell’s laptop and if it didn’t work you can also fix that.

When installing an SSD on a laptop, you want it to be the fastest one. Today there are multiple options for you to choose from different SSD such as SATA, M.2, or NVMe but as you know NVMe is the fastest SSD so most people want to install it on their laptops.

But before installing an NVMe SSD in your laptop ask yourself, Does my laptop have NVMe Slot?

Because NVMe SSDs are not only the fastest ones but also the most expensive storage device. Along with that, they don’t use the typical SATA Bus rather they use the direct PCI-E ( Peripheral Component Interconnect – Express ) which is used for faster data transmission.

So today I will completely guide you on how to identify an NVMe slot in your laptop. You will be able to tell whether a slot is for M.2 SATA SSD or NVMe which uses PCI-E.

Does My Laptop Have NVMe Slot?

There are two ways to find out if your laptop has an NVMe slot.

1. Check the User Manual

The best and quick way to find out if your laptop has an NVMe slot is to look at the user manual guide or spec sheet of the laptop provided to you by the manufacturer. [/su_highlight]

If you don’t have the owner’s manual or spec sheet don’t worry you can easily find it online from your laptop brand website.

For example, let’s have a look at the specifications of the Dell XPS 15.

You need to only focus on the Hard Drive highlighted by the red box.

So it says 512 GB, M.2 PCIe NVMe, SSD seems confusing? Don’t worry it is very easy to understand it. Let’s break down this long name into parts.

So basically there are five parts that comprise this long name.

512GB

M.2

PCIe

NVMe

SSD

512 GB is the storage size whereas M.2 is the form factor.

The PCIe is the bus that is used to exchange data between laptops.

NVMe ( Non-Volatile Memory Express ) is the communication interface and lastly, SSD indicates the type of drive.

I know there are many terms that you don’t understand so there is a quick brief of M.2 and PCI-E ahead. Keep on reading.

2. Check the Slot Interface

Another way to find out if a laptop has an NVMe slot is to analyze the slot carefully.

Basically, there are three types of keys involved in M.2 SSD, B Key, M Key, and B+M Key.

M key and B Key – Image By NikNaks

M.2 SATA has B+M Key while the NVMe has M Key.

As you can see that SATA SSD has two cut-outs whereas the NVMe has one cut. So observe these points of connection and match them with the slot on your motherboard.

NVME Slot on Motherboard – Image Source: Recover HDD

If your slot has only one partition/cut-out and looks like this, congratulations!

Your laptop has an NVMe slot.

Such slots can also handle M.2 SATA SSD so in short, you can use both types.

M.2 The Form Factor

M.2 SATA SSDs and NVMe are considered two different types of SSD but you need to know that M.2 is the form factor that indicates the small rectangle shape.

M.2 the form factor of SSD

Both ( SATA and NVMe ) are based on M.2 form factor.

So what makes the difference?

The difference lies in the technology they use to exchange data. M.2 SATA SSD uses SATA ( Serial AT Attachment ) Bus to transfer data while the M.2 NVMe uses PCI-E ( Peripheral Component Interconnect – Express ).

Related: How to Check M.2 Slot in Laptop?

What is meant by SATA 3 or SATA 6 Gbps?

If your laptop’s manual has mentioned SATA 3, SATA 6 GB/s, or 6 Gbps SSD, these are all the same names for SATA SSD. So if your slot says these it means that it can only accept the SATA SSD.

Actually, there is a valid reason behind this name because the PCI-E 1.0 has a bandwidth of 8 GB/s which is more than SATA’s bandwidth so that is why these are the alternative name for your standard SATA SSD.

Data Source: Toms Hardware

Is M.2 SSD faster than SATA SSD?

M.2 is the form factor, so it does not make that much difference in speed. However, if the M.2 SSD uses a PCIe bus it is definitely much faster than SATA SSD.

For instance, a SATA SSD can have a maximum speed of 600 MB/s whereas the latest Gen 4 NVMe PCIe SSD can have up to 6,000 MB/s.

Final Verdict

NVMe SSD is becoming the need of everyone as the world is progressing rapidly and Everyone needs the fastest storage media in their laptop so they won’t waste their time loading data which is quite frustrating.

So I hope after following these methods you will be able to tell if your laptop has an NVMe slot.
The post Does My Laptop Have NVMe Slot? first appeared on Laptopish.com.

If you find out any such ports on your laptop that are not occupied, it means your laptop has an M.2 slot in which you can easily install an M.2 slot to boost your laptop speed.

2. Check from Dell Support website

Step 1. Visit Dell Support

Step 2. Enter your laptop model and hit the search button.

Step 3. Find out the User Manual and click on it.

Step 4. Once you are at the owner manual page of your laptop, click on “Removing and Installing Components” on the left sidebar as you can see in this image.

Step 5. Check for the installation of the SSD section under it. It will guide you on how to install SSD on your laptop, if there is an M.2 SSD in the picture it means there is an M.2 Slot on your laptop.

However, if there is no M.2 Slot, there will be simply the replacement of the hard disk with a SATA SSD.

3. Check it Manually

The last and manual way to check if your dell laptop has an M.2 Slot is to open it from the back and see the motherboard for an empty M.2 slot.

The reason why I am emphasizing the empty slot is that sometimes there is a slot but it is not empty. It is occupied by a WLAN card so you can’t install your M.2 SSD over there.

But if there is a vacant slot that is not occupied, it is a green signal for you as your laptop has an M.2 slot.

[su_divider top=”no” divider_color=”#40d3e9″]

Which one is good SATA, M2, or NVMe?

When it comes to the comparison of all these form factors of SSD, you need to consider a few things like how much you are willing to spend on storage media and how much speed you really want.

Compared to a standard Hard disk a typical SSD can provide you with up to 5 times more speed. Let’s look at some numbers.

Type

Speed

HDD

100-150 MB/s

SSD ( SATA )

450-550 MB/s

M.2 SSD ( SATA )

500-600 MB/s

NVMe ( PCI-E )

2500-3500 MB/s

Does every M.2 SSD use PCI-E?

M.2 SSD can either be SATA or NVMe. It depends on how they are designed but they cannot use both forms at the same time. If you have an M.2 SSD that uses PCI-E you can get up to 3.5 Gbps ( 3500 MB/s ).

However, there is one thing you need to pay attention to it.

Not all M.2 Slot can handle PCI-E, so before installing an M.2 SSD that uses PCI-E you need to make sure your laptop has an NVMe slot because most NVMe uses PCI-E so a slot that uses PCI-E is also known as an NVMe slot.

Conclusion

So these were the best and easiest ways to figure out if your dell laptop has an M.2 slot in dell laptop. SSD really helps you to boost your laptop speed and the M.2 which is a faster version of SATA is faster than it.

I also have M.2 SSD on my PC. Having a laptop with an SSD no matter whether SATA or M.2 is a must thing, let me know in the comments which SSD your laptop has.
The post How To Check M.2 Slot in Dell Laptop first appeared on Laptopish.com.

Have you recently experienced your Arteck wireless keyboard not working properly and you are desperately trying to fix it but can’t seem to get it working? You’re definitely not alone!

Fortunately, if your wireless keyboard isn’t working properly there are various methods that you can try in order to resolve this issue.

We’ll be taking a look at how you can quickly and easily fix an unresponsive Arteck Wireless Keyboard. If the arteck keyboard is not working it can be due to several reasons.

In this blog post, we’ll discuss the various reasons why an Arteck wireless keyboard may not be performing as intended, and also provide step-by-step instructions on how to troubleshoot and repair these common issues.

Keep reading for all of the information you need to get your beloved Arteck keyboard running like a charm once more!

Arteck Keyboard Not Working

There can be several reasons why your arteck keyboard is not working properly. It can be due to low batteries, damaged dongles, and outdated drivers of the keyboard and Bluetooth.

So it is good to read the root causes of the problem first before going to the main solutions. So that you know what is causing your arteck keyboard to face that problem.

Arteck keyboard Not Working Reasons

Here are some of the common causes of your keyboard not working. Read them and match them with your arteck keyboard so that you know what is the problem with your keyboard.

1. Low Battery

One of the main reasons for your arteck keyboard not working is it doesn’t have enough power to work. Most wireless keyboard boards have lithium batteries that can be charged through a USB-C port.

In most cases, if the wireless keyboard board is not working it is most probably due to low power or absolutely no power in the batteries.

2. Damaged Dongle

You know that the wireless keyboard has a USB dongle that you connect to your PC or laptop. If the dongle is damaged the keyboard cannot transit the wireless signals properly this will cause your arteck keyboard not to work properly.

A damaged dongle does not look damaged from the outside as it is only the protective shell to hold the internal board in place.

What I mean by a damaged dongle is the four pins on the inside of the USB port are damaged. It can be scratched or damaged due to any electric short-circuit.

3. No drivers / Outdated Drivers

Drivers play an important role when it comes to using wireless devices such as wireless keyboards.

If there are no drivers installed for your arteck keyboard how can it work properly?

Sounds right?

Not only that, even if you have installed the drivers but those are outdated which means your driver needs to be updated. This is another reason why your keyboard is not working.

4. Bluetooth Problem

Arteck wireless keyboard usually connects through Bluetooth to your PC. So, if Bluetooth is making a problem, the keyboard also won’t work.

What issues can Bluetooth create?

If the Bluetooth hardware component is working fine. the most common error is due to incompatible or outdated driver support.

Your PC has no drivers for Bluetooth handling or if you have the drivers, those are not the latest ones that the PC requires for its Bluetooth to function properly.

Arteck Keyboard Not Working Solutions

I hope that after reading the above causes you know what is causing your arteck keyboard not to work.

Well, now let’s get on to the best possible solutions to fix your keyboard issue.

1. Charge keyboard batteries

If your arteck keyboard is not working the best and easy solution to fix that is to charge the keyboard batteries using a type-c data cable. If your keyboard doesn’t have rechargeable batteries, replace the old one with new lithium-ion batteries.

2. Check for any updates of arteck keyboard drivers

Special keyboard from companies always has some kind of software.

For example, the razer keyboards have special software that lets you allow customize your keyboard through it. You can customize the light pattern according to it. You can also set macros and customize the keyboards also.

So, if your keyboard has software to manage that keyboard, check for any driver updates over there. If there is an update pending, install that first and restart your PC, your keyboard will work after the restart.

3. Make sure the dongle is connected firmly

Check that the USB dongle is not loose or connected halfway.

The best way to do this removes the USB dongle and plug it in again, this time check that the USB port has reached the end and the USB dongle is not moving.

In simple words, the USB dongle must be intact and firmly connected to the USB port so that it can receive the signals emitted from the keyboard easily.

4. Check if your PC Bluetooth is working

Your arteck keyboard communicates with your PC using Bluetooth. So, if the arteck keyboard is not working, check whether your PC Bluetooth is working or not.

You can check that by connecting any other Bluetooth device to your PC such as wireless earbuds or a mouse. If that doesn’t connect, it means there is something wrong with your PC Bluetooth connection.

So how do you fix that?

Simply, reinstall your Bluetooth drivers and check for any latest updates if needed. Once you have installed the Bluetooth drivers and updates, restart the PC to implement the changes.

5. Plug the receiver dongle into the right port

Some USB ports can’t receive some special sort of signals. They are only designed for power supply such as charging any other devices.

So if your PC has a such port, make sure not to plug your USB dongle over there.

6. Use your keyboard in the given range

Wireless devices always have a range in which you can use that without any hurdles. However, if you exceed the range, the device won’t work and you have to get back to the given range.

Most wireless keyboard has a range of 6-10 meters in which you can use the keyboard nicely.

So, if all the above solutions are not working, check if you are not too far from your PC.

Some Best Arteck Keyboards

One of the best Arteck keyboards available on the market today is the Arteck HB030B Universal Slim Portable Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard.

First, if you have a wired keyboard, you will need to plug the USB cable into an available USB port on your computer.

Once plugged in, depending on your operating system, you may need to install compatible drivers for your keyboard. You can do this by downloading any relevant driver software from the official Arteck website and then running the installation file.

If you are using Windows 10 or macOS, you may not need to install any additional software as they usually come with compatible drivers already pre-installed.

Next, once installed, open up the device manager within your operating system settings and locate the newly attached keyboard – it should appear as “Arteck Keyboard” or something similar.

Then proceed to click on it and select Properties > Change Settings > Update Driver Software option.

Lastly, Restart your computer (if prompted) and now your Arteck Keyboard should be ready for use!

It is important to note that some versions of the Arteck Keyboard come with a nano receiver which requires pairing with the keyboard via Bluetooth before use. In this case, simply power on both devices and look for “Arteck KB” in your list of available Bluetooth devices within your PC’s settings menu – then proceed to pair them together so they communicate properly with each other.

When selecting a Chromebook or a laptop many things need to be considered such as the processor, display, and RAM.

Among these components is the storage media device which is an essential part of your Chromebook. Chromebooks usually don’t have hard disks they usually have eMMC and SSD Storage devices.

What is good for Chromebook? eMMC or SSD.

Keep on reading, you will get the answer to that in detail.

eMMC vs SSD in Chromebook – Find the Difference

Although they both use the NAND flash memory yet some differences need to be considered.

eMMC with every upgrade is getting faster in terms of processing speed. Previously, they can reach the speed of 200 MB/s but now the eMMC 5.1 has doubled the speed. It can now provide you with an outrageous speed of 400 MB/s.

For instance, the SATA SSD usually has a starting speed of 400 MB/s which is almost the same as eMMC 5.1.

But the SATA SSD is just the basic type of SSD or you can say that this is the starting point of SSDs.

The next generation such as m2, and NVMe are much fast than the basic ones. NVMe is the beast when it comes to speed. If the motherboard has PCIe serial bus, the SSD can go as fast as 2GB/s.

Now let’s talk about gates in both of these memory types. As I have described above that they both use the same memory type which is NAND flash still there is a big difference in terms of memory gates.

eMMC usually has fewer memory gates than the SSD which is why SSD can handle large volumes of data at a tremendous speed.

More memory gates = fast processing of data

Now let’s read about the role of each storage media in Chromebooks.

eMMC in Chromebook

Before discussing its use in Chromebook let us first understand what is eMMC.

eMMC also known as Embed Multimedia Card is an electronic memory chip that is installed on the motherboard as a storage device in Chromebook.

This type of memory is also used in slim devices where the whole system is integrated into just one motherboard. That is why they use eMMC over there.

Mobile phones also have eMMC storage.

Now come to the point that is the use of eMMC in Chromebook.

Although it is not bad to have eMMC in Chromebook, however, an SSD is something that will boost your performance by up to 5x as compared to eMMC. So, it is better to have SSD in Chromebook.

Why eMMC is used in Chromebook?

If it is not as good as SSD then why is it used in Chromebooks?

Well, the answer is pretty simple, to make the Chromebook cost-efficient they use eMMC in Chromebooks to lower the overall cost as SSDs are quite expensive than eMMC.

SSD in Chromebook

SSD ( Solid State Drive ) is something that is considered a must-needed component in today’s electronic devices which include Chromebooks too.

One of the major reasons for SSD is they do provide a great boost in speed as compared to other storage media such as hard disk and eMMC.

Not only that, SSD always provides the ability to expand your storage in Chromebook which you can’t do with eMMC as it’s embedded in the motherboard.

If your Chromebook gets damaged and you want to recover the data it is very risky and difficult to do with the eMMC as it is soldered on the board with heat.

However, if you have SSD you can easily recover the data by removing it from your damaged Chromebook and installing it on any other laptop or Chromebook.

Conclusion

Every storage media has some pros and cons at the same time, the same is with the eMMC and the SSD.

eMMC has less speed and fewer memory gates are quite cheap whereas SSD is the opposite of it.

Do you ever find yourself frustrated after typing away, only to have the same key appear over and over again? You press it over and over but nothing is happening. You might think why my keyboard is spamming a key.

Well, this could be a sign your keyboard has gone haywire! If you’re experiencing intermittent issues such as random keys becoming stuck or going off on a clicking rampage this might be the issue.

Why does your keyboard keep spamming a key and how do you fix it?

Don’t worry though – we’ve got solutions for fixing your problem in no time. Read on to learn how easy it can be to restore your keyboard back to its normal functioning state!

Fix Keyboard Keep Spamming a Key

Keyboard key spamming can occur on every device whether it is a laptop or a PC keyboard. I also faced this problem with my mechanical keyboard and I will share with you how I fixed that.

Before moving on to the fix let me first share some details about it, and how it happens.

Well, it is straightforward, say you press a key on your keyboard, and it stays pressed until you press it again to stop or press another key.

I have been using HP mechanical keyboard and I faced the same issue with my keyboard too. So here are my best solutions that will work to fix that.

1. Install/Update Drivers

If you are using any heavy keyboards such as razer or hp which have a dedicated driver for their keyboard, always make sure to check that you have the right drivers.

If you have drivers already installed, check for updates.

Because issues like this are primarily due to software problems but that doesn’t mean it is purely due to it. It can also be due to hardware issues too. I will guide you on that later on.

Conclusion

So, the first and foremost solution is to install and update the right drivers for your keyboard to fix the keyboard spamming problem.

2. Unplug the Keyboard

If the above solution didn’t work for you, unplug your keyboard and then replug it.

It might seem to you a time waste fix but it is not

When I faced that issue, I simply did this and my keyboard works fine after that.

Conclusion

If your keyboard keeps spamming a key, change the port or replug it in the same port. Doing this will fix that too.

3. Clean your Keyboard

If these software-related issues still have not fixed your keyboard problem that means sit has something to do with your keyboard hardware.

But I would highly recommend you to do the first two solutions, in most cases, the keyboard gets fixed.

Cleaning your keyboard can not only provide you with a better and clean experience but it will also fix your key spamming issue.

If you are using a mechanical keyboard, cleaning is very easy. Simply remove the keys using a key holder.

If you do have not a key holder, you can also remove it using your fingers.

So after removing all the keys, clean the mechanical switches very nicely.

Do a detailed cleaning of your keyboard, and check for any dust which is stuck inside your switches.

If possible you can also use an air blower to blow out the dust which is present inside the keys and the switches.

If you are using a membrane keyboard, you can use an air blower to blow the dust out of it.

I won’t recommend you take out the keys as long as you don’t know how to put them back. Not only that, if you don’t take out the keycaps the right way, the key lock will also break.

Conclusion

If software-related issues didn’t help you to fix the key spamming issue, try cleaning your keyboard. It will fix your keyboard.

4. Check for Water Damage

If you spilled any liquid such as water or tea on your keyboard, this problem can also occur due to that.

If this issue is happening on your laptop keyboard, you are left with no option but to replace the keyboard.

However, if it happened on your mechanical keyboard, you can replace that particular switches where you think the liquid has reached the keyboard.

Conclusion

So, if your keyboard is damaged by any liquid or any other substance, it is better to replace that keyboard so that it won’t happen again.

5. Check for any wire bend

If the issue persists, check if your keyboard cable is bent at some point and the bend is so severe that it affects the transmission of the signal.

It can be due to a sharp bend, or a heavy weight being placed on the wire so the wire is under pressure and may not function properly.

Conclusion

Make sure that your keyboard wire is intact and that nothing is interfering with the transmission. It can also fix the keyboard spamming issue.

Laptop Keyboard Spamming Keys

Do Laptops and PC keyboards behave the same when it comes to spamming a key itself?

Well, they do spam the key similarly but there are some differences in their structure. For example, a PC keyboard ( mechanical ) has switches whereas laptop keyboards do not have those switches as they are membrane keyboards.

So, It is possible that there is something wrong with the laptop’s keyboard, causing it to ‘spam’ the keys. This could be caused by a malfunctioning mechanism such as a blocked or worn-out key spring, a software issue, an electrical issue with the laptop’s power source, or other hardware-related issues.

In some cases, it may even be caused by liquid spillage into the laptop’s keyboard. When this happens, liquid can seep into the circuitry of the device and cause its components to malfunction. Depending on the severity of the damage, keys may stop working altogether or start sending inputs at random intervals.

Another possible explanation for your laptop randomly typing seemingly random characters is dust particles becoming lodged in between its keys and interfering with its normal operation. Dust that has accumulated over time can cause unwanted input when pressed against certain keys and lead to weird behavior such as rapid keystrokes or double-tapping of individual keys.

Conclusion

Keyboard spamming a key is not a common issue but when it occurs it can annoy you as it keeps pressing a key that you don’t want to. So you might want to fix that quickly.

If you follow the solutions I mentioned above, your problem can easily get fixed.
